INTERVAL SERVICE
In this service we change the engine oil and oil filter, we always use VAG long-life oil. All other lights and levels are also checked and corrected, including tyre pressures and under bonnet fluid levels as well as a visual check of your vehicle.
INSPECTION SERVICE
In this service we change the engine oil and oil filter, we always use VAG Longlife oil, as well as the pollen filter and brake fluid. For vehicles with a diesel engine, the fuel filter is also replaced. All other lights and levels are also checked and corrected, including tyre pressures and fluid levels. All vehicle systems are checked, these include brakes, steering, suspension and transmission. We also carry out a full diagnostic check of the electronic control systems and components.
FULL SERVICE
In this service we change the engine oil and oil filter, we always use VAG longlife oil, as well as the pollen filter, air filter and brake fluid. The spark plugs are also replaced on vehicles fitted with a petrol engine and the fuel filter on diesel engine models. All of the lights and levels are checked and corrected, including tyre pressures and fluid levels. All vehicle systems are inspected, these include brakes, steering, suspension and transmission. We also carry out a full diagnostic check of the electronic control systems and components.
AIR CONDITIONING
It is recommended that your vehicles air conditioning system is serviced every two years. Not only does the system help to keep you cool in the summer it is just as useful in the winter months helping to demist your windows.
Our air conditioning service will ensure the system is operating as efficiently as possible. We first remove any old gas and oil from the system, and then we remove any excess moisture using a vacuum pump before replenishing any removed oil and re-gassing. We also add a tracer dye to help easily located any future leaks. The systems operation is then fully checked and tested to ensure everything is working correctly.
We also offer an anti-bacterial clean for the ventilation ducts of your heating and air conditioning system. Due to moisture build up within your heater, bacteria can form in the ducts and as a result produce bad odour. Our anti-bacterial treatment can eradicate this problem.
Our air conditioning service is for vehicles using R134a refrigerant only.
TIMING BELT AND WATER PUMP CHANGE
The timing belt of your vehicle is an essential serviceable item that is due for replacement after either mileage or time has elapsed. Although guidelines have changed and intervals increased Vasstechnik recommend replacing your timing belt every 80,000 miles or 6 years. Our price includes replacement of the timing belt, belt tensioner, idler rollers and the water pump, all of which are susceptible wear over time. The water pump is driven by the timing belt therefore replacing it once the belt has been removed makes economical sense and will not incur any additional labour cost. We use genuine parts and the cooling system will also be replenished with new anti-freeze to complete the work.
DSG OIL AND FILTER CHANGE
The Direct-shift gearbox is highly advanced piece of technology that uses an electronically controlled dual clutch system. It is therefore very important to replace the oil and oil filter at regular intervals of 38,000 miles to ensure the continued smooth operation and performance of your gearbox.
MULTITRONIC GEARBOX OIL CHANGE
The automatic multitronic gearbox is fitted to many models and to maintain it correctly an oil change is recommended every 38,000 miles.
HALDEX COUPLING OIL CHANGE
The Haldex coupling is an electronically controlled multi-plate clutch system that engages and transfers power to the rear final drive when required. The oil (and oil filter in earlier versions) should be replaced every 38,000 miles or 4 years.
BRAKE FLUID CHANGE
It is recommended that the brake fluid is changed every 2 years. Over time moisture can develop in your braking system, this will lower the boiling temperature of the fluid and as a result reduce its effectiveness.

We are operating the latest ODIS (Offboard Diagnostic Information System) computers in order to carry out a full diagnosis of your vehicle. By using the same diagnostic equipment as the main dealers it enables us to operate with the very latest information and software, including technical bulletins and software updates. For security procedures such as key coding and component programming we have an online connection to V.A.G in Germany, this combined with many years of experience aids us in replacing components, finding faults and rectifying problems both quickly and efficiently.
